As part of its suicide intervention strategy, the Veterans Administration now has Suicide Prevention Coordinators at all VA Medical Centers and large outpatient facilities. Clinical psychologist Jonathan Weinstein ’96 is the coordinator at the Veterans Administration Hudson Valley Health Care System, based in Montrose, NY.

Among the Archives and Special Collections Library’s manuscript holdings are the papers of Scottie Fitzgerald Smith, Vassar Class of 1942, daughter of F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald. The collection, which is available to researchers and the public, includes 14 cubic feet of materials.

Elise Shea ’19 had a great idea: connect Arabic-speaking refugees with Arabic language learners via Skype. The pilot project launched last fall under the auspices of the Mid-Hudson Refugee Solidarity Alliance. Winning a $10,000 Genius Award from OZY magazine will help Shea to take the project to the next level.
