Last year, Vassar students mobilized to greet an expected influx of refugees from the Middle East, but because of the travel ban, very few have been resettled in Poughkeepsie. Further north, however, there are families who need help, and Vassar Refugee Solidarity is rising to the challenge.

Special Collections is nearing the end of a six-year project to catalogue more than 25,000 books, folios, and other items, providing a digital record of the full contents of the Archives and Special Collections that will be available to faculty, students, and researchers around the world.

President Elizabeth Bradley presided over Fall Convocation—her first—and advised students to savor this transformative time in their lives. The event included featured speaker Mia Mask, the Mary Riepma Ross '32 Professor of Film, and AAVC award presentations to Marguerite O'Haire '08, who received the Young Alumnae/i Achievement Award, and Frances Tarlton Farenthold '46, P'75, who received the Distinguished Achievement Award.
